Springfield Ohio OVI Checkpoint Canceled

Ohio Death Penalty: The Time Has Come

"An Ohio Supreme Court justice who helped write the state's death penalty law three decades ago and has more recently questioned its interpretation called Tuesday for an end to capital punishment in the state." Dayton DUI-OVI Checkpoint Tonight (December 17, 2010)

Middletown DUI Checkpoint Tonight!

The Butler County OVI Task Force will conduct a low-manpower checkpoint on Ohio 4 in Middletown today.  The checkpoint will be open from 10 p.m. today until 4 a.m. Saturday, according to a release. “Officers and troopers will aggressively combat alcohol related crashes by combining the checkpoint with saturation patrols,” the release said.   If you find yourself in need of an attorney because you've been stopped at a checkpoint, CONTACT attorney Charles M. Ohio Drunk Driving Checkpoint Update (Nov. 12-14)

There are no checkpoints scheduled around the Miami Valley Tonight! We have checked with our usual sources and there are no reports of OVI (operating a vehicle under the influence) checkpoints this weekend.  As was announced earlier in the week, a major Holiday Enforcement Initiative was announced which will put a large number of Ohio State troopers on our streets.  This initiative is the first in a series of initiatives that are planned throughout the rest of the year.  Be safe and designate a sober driver.
