Dayton OVI Checkpoint (May 29, 2015)

There will be a Dayton OVI checkpoint tonight beginning at 10 p.m.  The Dayton Police Department, along with members of the Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County, will hold the sobriety checkpoint in the area of Wayne Avenue and Wyoming Street.  Unlike other recent Dayton OVI checkpoints, there is no indication that this will be a NO-REFUSAL/FORCED BLOOD DRAW checkpoint. Dayton Cop Block Protests At OVI Checkpoint

The controversy surrounding OVI checkpoints continues.  Citizens opposing the infringement on their Constitutional rights gathered together recently to protest at the OVI checkpoint held in Washington Township on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day).  The Dayton Cop Block organization vows to be present at other OVI checkpoints in the Miami Valley. The Montgomery County Sheriff and the Montgomery County OVI Task Force will be conducting a St. Patrick's Day sobriety checkpoint on Tuesday from 7 to 11 p.m. in Washington Twp.  Dayton will be alive today as we simultaneously celebrate the First Four with our very own Dayton Flyers participating.  It is also St. Patrick's Day and Dayton loves to celebrate. Holiday DUI Blitz Begins December 6th

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced its annual "Holiday DUI Blitz."  The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
