Happy Holidays From All Of Us At DaytonDUI
From all of us at Dayton DUI, we wish you the happiest of the holiday season.
Holiday messages – I always struggle with these holiday messages. I want to be sincere (see the Longfellow quote). Yet, I do not wish to be overly sentimental (thus, the Muppet video).
Then it occurred to me: There are always people who take the holidays a little too seriously. Others among us do not find time to see the beauty of the holiday season. As my kids have grown, I found myself failing to see the magic and falling into the latter camp. That changed last year when I attended an inter-faith ceremony. Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Protestants and the non-religious all took turns explaining their beloved traditions. It was funny, thoughtful and moving. Each of us, in our own way, shares the hopes and aspirations for peace and love. I will spend some time reminiscing on the joys of my childhood. In addition, I will take the time to make memories for my family.
The other enduring message of the event was to take the time to express thanks. I now offer each of you who interact with our office the sincerest of thanks. We work hard and we could not do any of this without you, our clients. I appreciate each and every person I work with and I love our extended and fragile work family. The other attorneys we interact with make this job fun, challenging and worthwhile. From police officers, judges, prosecutors, bailiffs, probation officers, victim advocates, and all the other various parts of our system, all of us at Dayton DUI thank you for all you do. Happy Holidays!
“I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
