Clark County, Ohio OVI Checkpoint Tonight (6-8-12)

There will be an OVI sobriety checkpoint tonight in Clark County, Ohio beginning at 6:00 pm on St. Rt. 235 just south of Mussellman Rd. News stories do not give an end time for the checkpoint, saying that it will run through the night. The DUI checkpoint will be conducted by the Clark County OVI Task Force. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Logan County Sheriff's Office and Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced today that a sobriety checkpoint will be held from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am tonight on State Route 235 at Indian Lake State Park, in Logan County. Miami County OVI Checkpoint Nets Three (3) OVI Arrests

As reported in local news stories [here], the recent Miami County OVI checkpoint resulted in three arrests for OVI. The checkpoint which was set up in Piqua, Ohio along County Road 25A near I-75 stopped 300+ cars. Members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were out in force for "All Out Day" in advance of increased patrols for Memorial Day. You can expect increased vigilance during the build up to the holiday. Butler County OVI Checkpoint: 4/6/12

NO REFUSAL Checkpoint tonight in Dayton (Dec. 9th)

Dayton will be holding a "NO REFUSAL" sobriety checkpoint tonight from 9pm until 2am. The checkpoint will be at North Main and Hillcrest. Judges will be standing by to issue warrants for forced blood draws should a person choose to refuse a breath test. This is manipulative, coercive and un-American.
