A Quick View From The Dayton Municipal Court

Why did I take a video from Dayton Municipal?  My father worked on the B&O Railroad (later called the Chessie System and later CSX). He started as the iconic steam locomotives were giving way to the classic, sleek diesel trains of the 1950s and 60s. He would always say that his biggest regret was not taking pictures of what a train yard looked like when he started. When I started practicing law, he told me to take pictures of the courthouses I visited. It is one time I took his advice and I’m very glad.

If you visit the Dayton DUI Pinterest page, you can see some of the iconic courthouses of Ohio. I have been practicing for quite some time now and I’ve seen a great deal of the state. Thanks to all of the kind bailiffs, and court staff who have helped me in my photography.

Here is a quick video from the third floor of the Dayton Municipal Court. It shows what I believe is a great city that is on the rise. If you are accused of a DUI/OVI offense, your case will be heard on the third or fourth floor. If you need an attorney anywhere in the Miami Valley, give me a call at (937) 318-1384.

Bonus; here is one of my favorite quotes about Dayton..

“Ohio is a scale model of the entire country, jammed into 43,000 square miles. Cleveland views itself as the intellectual East (its citizens believe they have a rivalry with Boston and unironically classify the banks of Lake Erie as the North Coast). Cincinnati is the actual South (they fly Confederate flags and eat weird food). Dayton is the Midwest. Toledo is Pittsburgh, before Pittsburgh was nice. Columbus is a low-altitude Denver, minus the New World Order airport. Ohio experiences all possible US weather, sometimes simultaneously.”
