Click It Or Ticket Kickoff

The Clark County Safe Communities Coalition, local, federal and state law enforcement agencies will unite to kick-off the Click It or Ticket National Campaign.  This mobilization will run from May 20 to June 2, 2013 and cover the heavily traveled Memorial Day holiday.  Law enforcement agencies across the country are prepared to ticket anyone not buckled up….no warnings and no excuses.  Click It or Ticket.  You should expect increased traffic enforcement throughout Ohio especially along the interstates during this period of time.  You can also expect to hear the Click It or Ticket radio and television commercials a few hundred...

Halloween DUI Crackdown (by Dayton DUI)

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced a DUI enforcement initiative as part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign which will coincide with the Halloween holiday.  79 local law enforcement agencies have planned more than 1,700 hours of enforcement as well as at least 14 checkpoints and more than 1,000 hours of saturation patrols around the state.  As Halloween gains in popularity as a celebration, police are vigilant in patrolling the highways for impaired drivers. “There isn’t a Halloween costume clever enough to hide a drunk driver who’s made the dangerous decision to get behind the wheel,” said...

Click It Or Ticket Set To Begin

Just as the swallows return every year to the Mission San Juan Capistrano, California, so to does the return spring bring us "Click -it or Ticket."  Click It or Ticket is a nationwide seat belt enforcement campaign aimed at reducing the number of highway fatalities and injuries due to non-seat-belt use. Ohio Holiday Enforcement Initiative

Patrol announces two-week Holiday enforcement initiative The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced statewide plans for a two-week enforcement initiative which will begin Veteran's Day and run through Thanksgiving weekend in an effort to reduce fatal and injury crashes on area roads, while also arresting impaired drivers, apprehending wanted felons and interdicting drugs and weapons.  This initiative is the first in a series of initiatives that are planned throughout the rest of the year.Troopers will work closely with local law enforcement agencies in tactical squads to strictly enforce known crash-causing violations such as failure to yield, improper passing/lane changes, unsafe speed, and...
