Springfield OVI Checkpoint Tonight at 10:15

We have confirmation that a sobriety checkpoint will take place in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio tonight beginning at approximately 10:00pm. The news release does not specify a location for the checkpoint as of the writing of this update. We are still tracking other jurisdictions. WLW News reports that there will be increased patrols due to the holiday weekend. Forced Blood Draws…in America?

Officers may use "whatever reasonable means are necessary to ensure that the person submits to a chemical test of the person's whole blood or blood serum or plasma." This section applies to persons who have two prior convictions.
