A bill signed into law yesterday by Governor Strickland, House Bill 238, will create a new municipal court in Montgomery County by converting the existing county courts.  The current Montgomery County Courts (Montgomery County Area I and Montgomery County Area II) will become the Montgomery County Municipal Court on July 1, and encompass parts of the county not already served by an existing municipal court. Driving Under Suspension: Security Suspensions and Judgment Suspensions

Dayton Sobriety Checkpoint is a Bust

Image via WikipediaThe sobriety checkpoint Friday, Oct. 30 on North Dixie Drive produced only three arrests for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  Other citations included nine charges for driving under suspension or without a license, and 21 other violations, including traffic, seat belt and child restraint issues.The checkpoint was set up from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Montgomery County Combined Agency O.V.I.
