WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery Co. — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Montgomery County Combined Agency O.V.I. Task Force conducted an O.V.I. sobriety checkpoint from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, on Lyons Road at Yankee Street.

The checkpoint and patrols around the checkpoint resulted in five O.V.I. arrests, one misdemeanor arrest, one felony arrest, one adult restraint citation, one driving under suspension citation, and five other traffic citations, according to a report issued by the sheriff’s department.

The task force plans to continue to host sobriety checkpoints and use patrols to keep the roadways safe from impaired drivers, the report said.
