The Combined Agency OVI Taskforce of Montgomery County will operate an sobriety checkpoint in Clayton on Friday night.  Other OVI checkpoints scheduled for Friday night will be in Defiance, Logan, Mahoning, Scioto and Lorain counties. The exact locations will be announced Friday morning, as well as the counties involved in the Saturday night checkpoints.  It has not been announced whether Butler and Warren counties will be included.  The checkpoints are part of the “Ohio OVI Checkpoint weekend” designed to deter and intercept impaired drivers. It’s part of the “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest.” campaign.  The checkpoints will be augmented with saturation patrols which consists of officers on extra patrols to look for impaired drivers.
